The Leicestershire-based scream park is one of the biggest and best Halloween events in the UK, and those who dare to enter can experience a stellar line up including the seven purpose-built attractions, live entertainment and street theatre.
This year, the outstanding new scare maze Spores joins many returning attractions, including the award-winning Blutlust and The Village.
Where sufficient time was left between each group entering the scare attractions, and groups passed through at a steady pace, this worked well and provided everyone with a more intense experience.
Scare Mazes
- Spores (New for 2025) - an almost cinematic, story-driven experience set in the shadowy folds of Madison County, deep in the Smoky Mountains. Brave guests enter the abandoned Smoking Bear Brewery, where a mysterious contamination has transformed the site into a pulsating, fungal nightmare. The attention to detail is superb. The actors are relentless. It’s a very impressive and memorable new addition that feels unlike anything else at the park.
- Blutlust - set within the decaying underbelly of 1995 Berlin, Blutlust continues to deliver one of the most immersive and unsettling experiences in the UK. The creative blending of pounding music, claustrophobic corridors, and sudden bursts of energy from the cast creates a constant sense of unease. These predators don’t simply jump-scare. They stalk, linger and feed off your reactions.
- Circus vs. Circursed - the demented Ringmaster, known as The Master of Macabre, pits his cursed troupe against the remnants of the Warehouse of Weird in a nightmarish battle for survival. Expect distorted visuals, disorienting lighting, and a constant barrage of scares from every direction. The whole production is impressive, with inventive sets and strong performances that keep the energy high from start to finish.
- The Witches of Hard Luck Wood - this attraction takes brave guests deep into the cursed woodland, where flickering lanterns and echoing chants guide the way through a series of eerie, naturalistic scenes. The storytelling here is again excellent — blending atmospheric tension with traditional jump scares — and the result feels like stepping into a haunting legend.
- Ash Hell Penitentiary - this remarkable scare maze returns pretty much unchanged. We once again entered into what looks and feels like a genuine prison, occupied by sadistic guards and convicts running wild. Passing through a relentless series of passages, cells and tunnels we encountered more and more dangerous inmates. The strobe lighting is particularly effective, making it very difficult to navigate.
- The Pie Factory - with the park located just outside Melton Mowbray, home of the pork pie, it's a very fitting basis for a truly twisted attraction. This returning experience takes place across multiple buildings including the piggery, slaughterhouse and the factory itself. The crazed pigs and even crazier workers are there at every turn and you are lucky to escape without being their latest ingredient.
- The Village - we once again explored this vast village inhabited by evil scarecrows, and in one scene we were caught completely off guard by a very powerful air cannon. The scale and ambition of this attraction remains quite remarkable, a real classic, and we will look forward to experiencing it again and again.

Beyond the attractions, you aren't safe from scares, with lots of new roaming characters this year, our favourite being the rude and utterly hilarious old lady that wanted to tell us all about the various objects she likes to put in various places!
The experienced team behind the event are clearly as passionate about it as ever, and that enthusiasm shows in the creativity and quality of the experiences.
The event runs on selected nights until 1st November 2025 - don't miss out on this award-winning scare attraction! Find out more and buy tickets at www.xtremescreampark.co.uk
