Crealy Announces Pirates’ Plummet and a Second New Ride for 2026

Crealy Theme Park & Resort has marked a major milestone in style. As part of a special event celebrating 25 years of Devon’s first coaster, Maximus, the park revealed two new rides will be opening in 2026, including the launch of Pirates’ Plummet.

Described as a bold addition to Crealy’s line-up, Pirates’ Plummet promises to deliver high-seas adventure and adrenaline-fuelled fun for the whole family. Full ride details remain under wraps for now, but the park has confirmed it will be the tallest ride in the South West.

And the surprises didn’t end there. During the event, Crealy teased the arrival of a second new ride in 2026, though the details are currently being kept a closely guarded secret. A brief tease was given by Josh Haywood, Managing Director, including that it will be the first inverting ride in the South West, sparking speculation among fans about what type of attraction might join the line-up.

A History of Growth and Innovation

The latest announcement continues Crealy’s tradition of expansion and innovation, which has defined the park since opening as Crealy The Great Farm Adventure in 1989. Over the years, it has introduced a number of major attractions, including the Maximus rollercoaster (2000), the towering Tidal Wave (2003), and the spinning Twister (2015). More recently, the park launched the award-winning Sooty Land in 2022, adding four new rides and 15 more attractions themed around the beloved children’s character.

Beyond the rides, Crealy has also grown into a full resort destination with Crealy Meadows, offering glamping, caravan holidays, and luxury hot tub lodges.

Looking Ahead to 2026

With Pirates’ Plummet now confirmed and another mystery ride still to be revealed, 2026 is shaping up to be one of Crealy’s most ambitious years yet. Guests should expect a blend of nostalgia and exciting new experiences, all part of Crealy’s mission to create “unforgettable family moments” in the South West.

Crealy Theme Park & Resort, located just outside Exeter, currently boasts over 60 rides and attractions.
